Painting in Winter

Cold - cold here and Snowy - Tried to warm up by working on a painting of some beautiful Stargazer Lillies.  The composition turned out mostly Mauves and Blues - so painted in a few bright Oranges to warm it up. It helped - now deciding what to add next-?

Maybe a Blue and White dish or cup of Peruvian Lillies . . . .

A New Muse - This one reminds me of the film 

"Enchanted April"

So looking forward to Spring this year -!

"Poppies" -Experimenting with pasting down shapes of heavy paper first - then painting over it for texture - which turned out kind of "subtle" in this image.
