Birch Trees

"Birch Trees and a Kestral" Acrylic - Mary Maki Rae - 2017(c)
I've been painting a lovely stand of Silver Birch Trees - that I enjoy observing across a near-by field.  About this time of the Year their leaves turn into the most glorious shade of Gold that I love. (It's best seen from here - after all of the Maple Tree leaves have fallen.)
Among the branches I've painted a fine-feathered Kestral - that seems to me most appropriate and delightful-!

Autumn's Coming Soon

"Bouquet in Black Enamel Pitcher" - 16"x16" Mary Maki Rae -2017(c)
One of my Favorite Summer into Fall Paintings - I always enjoy painting this enamel pitcher - plain white - black & white - royal blue - or all black as in this painting where it sets off the colors of the flowers beautifully. . . .

A nice earthy palette to use for painting all those - soon
