Our Beloved Robert -
A Husband, Father, Artist,
And Friend to Many
will Always be Greatly Loved
and Remembered for His Art and Humanity.
His Spirit will be within or Hearts
Forever . . .

I love you, gentlest of Ways,
Who ripened us as we wrestled with you.

You, the great homesickness we could never shake off,
you, the forest that always surrounded us,

you the song we sang in every silence,
you dark net threading through us,

You began yourself so greatly
on that day when you began us -
and we have so ripened in your sunlight,
spreading far and firmly planted -
that now in all people, angels, Madonnas,
you can decide: the work is done.

Let your hand rest on the rim of Heaven now
and mutely bear the darkness we bring over you.

I can never Thank you many Doctors, Nurses, and Caregivers
enough for all your kindness, skill, and love
you have given to Robert during his long journey.
(A long struggle with Kidney disease and Stroke
to his Spine)
Blessings to each and every one of you.
I will always remain so grateful. MMR

"Winter Scene" By Mary Maki Rae 2015(c)

Look for me - I have not left you . . .

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glint on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle Autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,

I am the swift, uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circling flight.

I am the soft starlight at night.

Look for me - I have not left you.
